Michael Askey-Doran
Michael Askey-Doran is manager of the Invasive Species Branch, part of Biosecurity Tasmania. The Branch has responsibility for administering the Tasmanian Weed Management Act along with various other legislation and programs related to vertebrate pests, marine pests and environmental invertebrate pests. Michael has worked for 30 years in natural resource management with the last 15 years involvement in weed management and the broader area of invasive species. He is the Tasmanian representative on the National Environment and Invasives Committee, a sub-committee of the National Biosecurity Committee.
